Sandra (Sandra Ann Lauer) was born on 18 May 1962, in Saarbrücken, Germany. Her singing career started off in the all-girl group Arabesque. In 1984, she continued her career as a solo artist. The majority of Sandra’s music has been written and produced by her ex-husband and producer Michael Cretu.
Sandra is an artist with a capital A, and an undeniable icon in the pop music world of the 80s and 90s. She has managed to make history with her music and, even in the new millennium, there are still millions of people all over the world who remember those golden times.
There are many songs that come to mind when thinking of Sandra. The most memorable are everlasting hits like “Maria Magdalena”, “InTheHeatOfTheNight”, “Innocent Love”, “Loreen”, “JohnnyWannaLive”, and indisputable fan favourites “EverlastingLove”and“Hiroshima”.
At the end of 2012, Sandra released her latest album Stay In Touch, which has received only positive feedback in different music circles. Great work has been done by Jens Gad, a songwriter/producer, and the dance music collective Blank & Jones. From that album, you should definitely listen to the single “Infinity Kiss” to get a hint of what has changed in the meanwhile.

Two-days pop music festival Retrolegend will take place at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds at June 29-30, 2012
During 2 days everyone is invited to enjoy famous songs and legendary performers of 80’s.
Among others these kind of stars will appear to stage as Kim Wilde, Ricchi e Poveri , C.C.Catch, Camouflage, Secret Service, Silent Circle, The Twins and our own Estonian superstar Anne Veski.
The first day will be opened by German band Silent Circle- first time in Estonia!-with well-known disco hits like „Touch In The Night“, „Moonlight Affair“, „Stop The Rain In The Night“ etc. Silent Circle will be followed by Swedish band Secret Service, whose „Flash In The Night“, „Ten O`Clock Postman“ and other hits will most probably create a lot of nostalgic emotions.
The night will be continued by Italian band Ricchi e Poveri. „Mamma Maria“, „Voulez-Vous Danser” and other famous songs bring back a lot of nice memories for many. Friday night’s „headliner“ is legendary C.C.Catch itself. According to some rumors C.C.Catch is planning to end her career in 2012, so it could be the last chance to listen to her live performance in Estonia.
